Properly stitching a set of panoramic images to produce a super-sized panorama or VR movie requires, among other things, a completely level horizon line. To obtain that result, this FEISOL PB-90 Panning Base is extremely useful. It has fine micro-adjustments to help you achieve a precise horizontal plane in your images. The base can be inserted between a FEISOL large tripod and its head so that it fits seamlessly into your camera support system. Load capacity is 83.8 lb (38 kg).

Is the male screw 3/8"?
Yes, the male screw on top is 3/8" and the female on the underside is 3/8" as well. It's designed to go between the tripod top, which is usually 3/8" male, and the tripod head which is usually 3/8" female. It's durable and smooth. I had mounted a small jib on mine that weighed about 30 lbs.

Is the 3/8" male fastener at the top of the mount removable?
On the FEISOL PB-90 Panning Base, the 3/8" male fastener (stud) at the top of the mount is not designed to be user-removable. It is permanently integrated into the solid aluminum construction of the panning base.

Can I use this with my Sirui W-2204 Tripod and Sirui K-30 Ballhead?
Hi Fred,I do not have the exact specs of the W-2204 and the K-30, but I see no reason why the PB-90 Panning Base would not work with them. You could also consider the slightly smaller PB-90 Base.
