ORIGINAL QUESTION: Does it impede window operation? Can the window glass move a bit up or down with this attached to the door? The only answer given makes the assumption a head, camera and lens would still be attached to the mounting bracket. I want to know if the window would be fully operational with just the mounting bracket in place?

Yes it can, But the extra weight of this mount and your camera, lens, etc. may damage the window motors in doing so. This would not be a recommended practice.
