Nodal Ninja F3140 Reviews

Perfect for digitizing film

I use this leveler on a copy stand to quickly align the camera's focus plane with the flat subject. This is how I digitize film and the process is extremely quick and enjoyable. This setup is much more stable and allows for much finer adjustments than a regular ballhead.

Straightforward and a great price

It's not as simple to use as others, but it's still very straightforward to level the head with this model. The price is great, and I like how it looks.

question

How do you know when the tripod base is level if used, for example, with a Manfrotto 303SPH QTVR Spherical Panoramic Head (which doesn't have it's own level)? Would you put a bubble level from a hardware store on the horizontal rail of the panoramic head? A two way bubble that fits on the hot shoe (e.g., by Novoflex) would help some, however, the camera could be level in one spot but not when rotated, if the base isn't level--which is the point of trying to level the tripod, right?
Asked by: Brian
I purchased the EZ-Leveler-II because I had a built in bubble level on the panoramic bracket head I use. If it didn't have the level I would have purchased a leveling head with it's own built in bubble level.
