Key Features
- For Precise Leveling of Panoramic Head
- Supports Up to 22 lb
- Smooth Rotation of Knobs
- "Zero Angle" Adjustment
The EZ-Leveler-II from Nodal Ninja is a second generation leveler--smaller, lighter and more precise than its predecessor. This leveler makes precise leveling of a panoramic head quick and simple. It has "zero angle" adjustment, and provides for the smooth rotation of knobs. It's made from a lightweight aluminum alloy, and can support up to 22 lb. The top thread mount is 3/8" with a cork base, and the bottom thread mount is 3/8 with a 3/8"-1/4" adapter. The EZ-Leveler II offers a correction of approximately 3°.

question
How do you know when the tripod base is level if used, for example, with a Manfrotto 303SPH QTVR Spherical Panoramic Head (which doesn't have it's own level)? Would you put a bubble level from a hardware store on the horizontal rail of the panoramic head? A two way bubble that fits on the hot shoe (e.g., by Novoflex) would help some, however, the camera could be level in one spot but not when rotated, if the base isn't level--which is the point of trying to level the tripod, right?
Yes, you can use a hot-shoe level. I use the EZ-Leveler II between my tripod and Nodal Ninja Ultimate R10. The Nodal Ninja has a level on it. I simply crank one of the blue wheels on the EZ-Leveler II as needed.
