The SM-44 4.5x SensorMag Magnifier with Dust Blaster from Carson Optical helps you to clean a DSLR's image sensor. The 4.5x-magnification lens is strong enough to help spot small particles and debris. The SensorMag's lens rests inside the camera's bayonet and features adjustable focus to accommodate different size cameras and flange depths. It also swings 45° out of the way to gain access to the sensor. There are two diameter settings to fit various camera bodies. Illumination is via six LEDs that operate on two included CR2032 batteries. The 1.8 ounce magnifier stores in its own zippered pouch.

Will this work on Sony A77II and A99II? Is there a video besides one on this page that shows how to install on lens mount?
I have tried it. The instructions say there should be a tight fit but it just sets on top of mount not in the mount and when mirror is up it interferes. I've checked YouTube for specific videos using the device specifically on the Sony A77M2 and 99M2 and there are none.

The Carson SM-44 4.5x SensorMag Magnifier is not compatible with any L-Mount alliance camera bodies or any other mirrorless cameras.

will it fit on the Nikon Z cameras? I understand it said Nikon cameras but thought that might be F mount.
If you use the Nikon FTZ adapter, it will place the SM-44 at the same distance from the sensor as Nikon DSLR cameras. The SM-44 works fine for both full frame and crop sensor Nikon mirrorless cameras when using the FTZ adapter.

Since this isn't suppose to work with a mirrorless camera, if I use an extension tube between this and the camera, would that allow it to work properly?
I purchased this item to assist in cleaning my DSLR sensor however it was not worth it. It is just one more of those items you don't need in photography. I used it once and it now in my box of items that was advertised as must have.
My advise is spend your money on cleaning materials and a magnifying glass. I'm am certain you have a good light source for inspecting your sensor.
