Pyle Pro Ultracompact vs Pyle Pro For my old Technics SL-Q200. PP999 Phono Preamplifier. Are they quality wise the same audio output?. I'm only a hobbyist and digitizing LP's. Thanks
Both the Pyle Pro Ultracompact Phono Turntable Preamplifier and the Pyle Pro PP999 Phono Preamplifier will deliver quality audio from their outputs in a similar manner. The Pyle Pro Ultracompact Phono Turntable Preamplifier has an extra output as well, which differentiates it from the PP999.

will it work with a moving coil cartridge, connected between my turntable and my integrated amplifier?
This product is not a good choice for a Moving Coil cartridge. You'll get a weak signal that will need to be boosted, and there will probably be a lot more noise. Moving Coil carts tend to be very high quality, so it would be a shame to use the wrong preamp and not get all of the potential quality.

question
Can I use it with a YOGA HT-81 to increase gain and reduce noise? Thanks
Increase gain, yes. Reduce noise, no. Increasing gain Always increases noise. This is an inviolable rule of physics and electricity--noise is always part of an audio signal. The question is how much noise. This is a specialty product, designed to take the signal coming from a turntable with a moving magnet cartridge (very low-level) and boost it to the level that typical contemporary consumer amplifiers will accept. For something at this price, it does a good job. But it only does that, and can't be adjusted to do anything else.

question
I am trying to hook up an old phonograph to a 90s Pioneer receiver (which still has a Phono input). The problem is the components are too far away from each other - probably need about 3 feet of RCA cable and ground extension. Do I need an item like this, or does Phono input offer enough boost to make the preamp moot? Thank you.
If your receiver has a dedicated phono-in, three feet of RCA cable won't require a pre-amp. Mine required it because my late-model receiver abandoned the phono-in so the workaround is to use the Pyle pre-amp into an AUX input. Good luck.
