The Opteka GLD-400 47" Camera Slider is among the most affordable sliders available and like even the highest-end ones can be used on its feet or mounted on a tripod to provide you with straight-line tracking shots. It stands two inches off the ground when on its feet, and can be positioned evenly or slanted when mounted. Either way you use it, you'll add professional-looking movement to your scenes. Constructed of heavy-duty anodized aluminum, the slider supports camera rigs of up to 10 lbs.
The camera platform glides smoothly along 47 inches of self-lubricating rails. A knob on the side of the platform lets you loosen or tighten (or lock) the glide. A spirit level helps monitor how even your shot is by indicating its horizontal or vertical alignment.
The camera platform features a 1/4" screw for attaching a camera or camera head. A 1/4" to 3/8" adapter comes included to convert the 1/4" screw into a 3/8" screw. And multiple 1/4" and 3/8" screw-holes are positioned along the length of the slider for mounting onto a tripod or other device.
