question
I am new to the whole studio photography concept. I want to buy a back ground kit but cannot seem to pick one. I want something affordable with some variety but good enough to practice with for a while until I can afford something better. I keep going back to this set the other one you have: Savage Accent Muslin Background Kit (10 x 12', White/Black/Green) B&H # SAASMK101WBG MFR # 012046PAS-12 There is a difference in price. What would be the main reason for the pricing difference? Is Chroma just a different material? They both seem to come with the same overall items so i can't tell what the pros and cons are for each. I am willing to buy the more expensive one as long as I know it is a better item for the price. Can you help me in deciding what would be better for my first background kit?
The background kits are very similar and they actually have the same specifications. With the quality of each they are also very similar. So for price I would go with the Impact brand. The green background can be used for regular photography or video but it is also good for Green screen. Chroma Key (green screen) is used when you need to replace the background with a digital background. That process is done in post after the shot is taken.
