Can this monopod also be used as a walking stick?
I wouldn't recommend using this as a walking stick unless the situation demands it. The design of this monopod and the carbon fiber materials are not intended for the type of strain to be put on it such that one would commonly apply and count on applying to a walking stick. If you are just wanting to carry it to move the occasional stone or ward off a stray dog it would be fine.

I believe you can turn that screw over and it should fit... Take it out ,, turn it over....
