Would this lens hood vignette using Veydra 19mm MFT mini prime on GH4/gh5s?
Asked by: Andy
This lens hood is designed for a camcorder's built in lens, not lenses used on an Mirrorless camera. It may vignette as the sensor on an MFT mount camera will give you a wider field of view as the smaller sensor on the camcorder this is usually designed for.

Can you still use a VND with this lens hood and still rotate the VND while the lens hood is attached? Using on my DZOfilm 35mm.
Asked by: Jimmy
Actually, while the hood fits any 77mm lens, the hood also has a front thread and I was able to attach an 82mm variable neutral density filter on it no problem. This hood is great and I use it on my Canon RF 24-105 f/4 L. I noticed a lot of flare and ghosting with this lens, so hopefully this hood cuts down on that. There's no vignetting when shooting video at 24mm using this hood.

what is the video aspect ratio you are trying to match with this hood?
Asked by: aleksandar
I use this hood with a Pergear 12mm lens on MFT bodies. It works perfectly with no vignetting, even when an 82mm CPL filter is on the front. It's really effective! When I move my finger beyond the hood, it begins to appear in the frame, so I would not use it with a lens wider than 12mm on MFT.

question

Would this vignette using with a sigma 18-35 on a gh5 via metabones .71x speedbooster?
Asked by: Caleb S.
That is a good question that can only be answered by testing. We can offer the opinion that with that lens, on that camera with that speedbooster at the wide end of the zoom, you are very likely to see vignetting.
