I’ve been using this 4x6 paper for years for test prints for larger prints. If it’s not broken there’s no need for a fix.

This is my go-to satin finish media for landscape and portrait prints. Large gamut, nice sheen. We print on Canon prograf 2000

It's not a rag paper. I'm not using it anymore although I've got a bunch of it. I've switched to rag paper. There's a better answer below.

Should this paper be printed with Photo black or Matte? My epson P800 automatically changes the ink to matte

I'm not really sure, it does give excellent blacks on my R-2800. Cut down a sheet to a smaller size and try a small print.

It's a little hard to tell the printable side on this paper, how would I know the printable side?...thanks

The Ilford Galerie Smooth Pearl should have a slight reflective quality on the printable side. You can also moisten your finger and touch a corner. The printable side will be slightly sticky while the back will not stick to your finger at all.

How does this paper compare to silver gelatin B&W ...

How does this paper compare to silver gelatin B&W paper or color RA-4 paper ? I wanted to print my film negatives at home, but I don't have the skills, neither space to have a darkroom (color printing would be almost impossible for me),so is this paper good for making inkjet prints from negatives ?
