    CineBags CB23 Reviews

    CB23 DSLR / HD Backpack (Black/Charcoal) is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cine Bags are the Best Hey guys, bought the CB23 Backpack to take my Canon 5D mk IV , 24-70 f/2.8, 16-35 f/2.8 and 70-200 f/2.8 and batteries and charger to the mountains of Jackson Hole Wy. Then bag is made durable and has room for everything including my MacBook Pro 15 in its sleeve . The gear stayed put whether I was hiking in the Grand Tetons or the Atlanta airport. Speaking of airports and airplanes, the CB23 fits in the overhead of the bigger planes but when you get to the regional planes, it will only fit under the seat . B&H made getting the bag easy and the checkout is always straight forward and easy to deal with. I will look to CineBags for all my camera bag needs in the future.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Straps way too short I ended up returning this bag shortly after I tried it out. The biggest issue with it is that the shoulder straps are way too short. It is almost like its made for a child. I had the straps fully extended and it was still uncomfortable for me to wear, and when I would buckle the top buckle it would be hitting me in the throat. Not a good setup. Also the design of the bag needs to be looked at as well. The opening flap ends up facing your back which makes it not ideal for removing things from the bag and putting things in the bag on the fly. Gave it two stars since I know its of high quality material, just the design needs major work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Backpack for Air Travel This is a great bag for travel. Recently purchased this backpack so that I could take my video camera to India. I like that the camera sits in a zippered compartment against your back so that you don't have to worry about thieves. You can design your own compartments with Velcro pads. It's small enough to meet strict carryon requirements (check your own airline!), but, large enough to pack a lot of stuff: video camera, assorted batteries, chargers, adapters, a laptop, book, newspaper, jacket, toiletries, bottle of water, and a change of clothing. It also has a handy zippered compartment at the top, which provides easy access from the over head bin. The zippers are also easy to operate. It also stayed close to the body and didn't stick out banging into people. I didn't bring a tripod, but, there are straps that you can use for that. Great bag!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesomly big bag This was a great upgrade to my standard Nikon bag which I got with my camera. All my gear and more now fits neatly into one comfortable bag. I love the back padding and the straps are great. It's has so much room on the inside my gear want scratch or bump against each other. I know where everything is. I now can carry my laptop or tabulate with me with all my chargers and batteries. I can even pop a reflector into the laptop section making this bag awesome for any wedding photographer. This zips are greatand the pockets on the side allow me to get to useful things with ease. The inside has a niffy compartment for filters and memory cards.I give this bag a 10 out of 5

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Travel Bag! Very sturdy, perfect for smaller payload. Took my Canon XF100 to El Salvador to film a surf trip and it had just the right amount of compartments, not too heavy for hiking through the jungle, comfortable adjustments, hip belt reduces shoulder weight. Center exterior strap grid for any tripod, Back access is perfect when filming in bad weather. Top deep stash pocket is perfect for my GoPro, might be too small for big lens work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best all-in-one, all-weather camera bag I bought this bag specifically for protecting my DSLRs and Lenses. I also used it for heavy/lengthy travel cross-country and it held up extremely well. It's weather proof, rip proof and shock proof. I couldn't be happier with this bag!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from There is a reason they don't show the inside of the CB23 The build quality is first rate like everything Cinebags makes but the size and fit is a huge miss. I found it difficult to get one DSLR with no lens mounted and two zoom lenses to fit. Thats it. Those three pieces of kit had the bag contorting just to close. And that's before batteries, chargers, cleaning kit etc.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Strong bag I was looking for a backpack that would be both comfortable and protective for my gear. I travel very often so this is one of the best alternatives so far. I have several other bags, but some were either too big or to small. This one lets me carry my laptop plus two cameras with four lenses and other small accessories. You can even take a small tripod in the front compartment if needed. My only concern is that it doesn't have a rain cover as the following cinebags model. I hope I won't have any problems in the rainy season.

    FS5 fully assembled?
    Asked by: Doyle
The Sony PXW-FS5 fully built with with 18 to 105mm lens, lens hood, large eyecup, LCD viewfinder, top handle, grip is 7.38 x 8.63 x 6.88 / 18.73 x 21.91 x 17.46 cm. the interior of the CineBags CB23 DSLR / HD Backpack (Black/Charcoal) B&H # CICB23A is 14.0 x 10.0 x 7.0 (35.6 x 25.4 x 18 cm). While technically it should fit, practically speaking we would be more inclined to go for a larger bag such as the CineBags CB25B Revolution Backpack (Black/Charcoal) B&H # CICB25B which is 18.0 x 11.0 x 9.0 / 45.7 x 27.9 x 22.9 cm. A back pack is convenient a great deal of the time and imperative when you have to hike in to a location. However, we would like to say that in the long run for maximum convenience in traveling, storing and working on set, we would recommend a hard, waterproof case such as this Jason Cases Hard Case with Wheels for Sony FS5 Camera Kit B&H # JASNFS5PL. The camera is built yet completely safe. No worries if the case falls off the vehicle, put under great weight by accident or worrying about someone sitting on it or falling off the pier into the water.

I know it might be tight but would a c100 with 24-105, handle and VMP fit in this? I'm worried that if I get a cb25, I'll have to check it on flights.
    Asked by: M J.
Without being able to physically place the gear in a particular container, saying yes or no as to its efficacy is limited to an opinion. Generally, our advice is to gather all gear going into a container on a table and measuring possible arrangements while allowing for padding. This gives you a very good idea of the size needed. I suggest not traveling with the C100's top handle on for there is too much chance of breakage. The camera with the grip on should be fine and that is: 7.2 x 6.7 x 5.1 in (18.2 x 17 x 12.9 cm). This easily fits the CineBags CB23 and I should think the rest of the gear will be good as well. But as suggested, measure your gear before you buy. You have 30 days to return if the bag is incompatible.

I have a JVC GY-HM170UA 4KCAM will this fit in the bag without taking it apart
    Asked by: Chris G.
This bag has interior dimensions of 14.0 x 10.0 x 7.0 , while the JVC GY-HM170UA is 11.8 x 6.0 x 4.4 , B&H # JVGYHM170UA. It should fit very well in the bag. If you have a shotgun mic and light attached to the camera you will probably need to take them off, but you should not need to break down the camera beyond that.

will my Nikon 7100 and 128x300 lens fit in this bag?
    Asked by: Anonymous
We bought this bag specifically for my husband to pack a Nikon D7100 and a couple lenses as well as his laptop for an overseas business trip that took him from Europe then directly to vacation in South America and Antarctica. It easily fit the camera body, a Sigma f/1.8 18-35 lens, and a Nikkor 55-300 with plenty of room to spare for additional lenses if needed. We used the extra space for a couple filters, travel guides, and other items in just the camera compartment. It held up nicely - very glad we made the purchase.

It says the laptop compartment is 14'' x 10'' x 2''. If I have a laptop that is 15'' in height can I make it fit? Is there some wiggle room?
    Asked by: Anonymous
Sorry but it won't fit. I have a Thinkpad T42p that is 13 in length and that *just* fits enough to zip up. There's another inch of headroom but then you wouldn't be able to zip up the compartment since on the corners it's rounded.

Will this bag fit a Blackmagic Cinema Camera?
    Asked by: Adam M.
It should fit the body fine - it will depend on your rig and lens/lenses though. I fit a 5D, three lenses (one of which is a 70-200mm), rode mic and batteries/chargers stuffed in and around. Very adjustable compartments if you need to change out your gear per job. Hope that helps.
