Manfrotto 200PL Reviews
Basic but gets the job done
This is my second Manfrotto ball head, and in all honesty, my first model (468MG) is better (has more range). But it cost twice as much in unadjusted 2011 dollars, so I would expect that. The important thing is that this head perfectly meets my needs, which are simple: This is part of a fixed overhead photography rig in my studio, one in which I will need only minor plane adjustments in daily use. A head that cost twice as much would've been a waste of money. Probably my only complaint is that the locking tab is plastic; metal would make me feel more secure. We shall see how that holds up. Also, I appreciated the extra quick release plate that came with it - you can never have too many spares.
It's a plate, works fine!
The plate is well crafted. I have not had a problem with anything manufactured by Manfrotto!!!
does the job
very secure and stable plate
Works Very Well
Used this with my new Manfrotto 290 monopod. First time with a ball head and I found it easy to use.
Quality and choice on point.
Thanks to the BH team to get me the right piece of equipment. If you have the Manfrotto Befree Advanced Travel Tripod and you need an extra plate for a second camera, this is the one. Perfect fit. Thank you BH.
Quick plate
Had lost mine and this was a replacement part. I have an old grip and was really missing not using it.
it works
works as described
Replaced piece fits like a glove!
When Sarasota High School's photography program was gifted with an older tripod a few days ago I realized it was missing the quick release plate and the gifter could not locate it. Live chat with an expert at B&H found the piece, ordered immediately and we just successfully coupled it with the tripod! The students were using it five minutes later! Thank you B&H for the expertise and thank you, Manfrotto for continuing to support antiquated products!
