The M-SM03 Camera 1/4" Hot Shoe Mount for 7" Monitors from Marshall Electronics is a 1/4" mount that can mount directly to a DSLR shoe mount, and allows for the attachment of 7.0" display monitors. This ball head has a single locking knob for fast and safe operation, and is easily removable.
Accessories attach via the 1/4"-20 screw thread on top and the bottom features a removable shoe mount. The head itself allows for 90° vertical articulation.

One of these came with a monitor I bought. I love the concept and these come in handy for all sorts of rigs. But... after a year or so a few (including this one) wore out to the point where it no longer tightens properly. I need to get a few more of these type things but I'm going to get some that are a bit higher quality. Works fine for a while but sooner or later you need to tighten the thumb screw with a pair of pliers.
Purchased to mount Atomos Ninja Blade on Vello Cold Shoe Extension. The part that tightens down to cold shoe on the M-SM03 is not wide enough to grab/tighten onto the Vello Cold Shoe Extension. Tightens perfectly onto normal camera hotshoe but not onto this particular shoe extension.
