The Rycote InVision INV-HG mkIII Microphone Suspension addresses the demand for a heavy-duty shockmount to secure shotgun microphones. The INV-HG mkIII will minimalize handling noise, rumble, and vibration in all speech-capturing applications.

The InVision Lyre cradle accommodates most microphones measuring 19 to 34mm in diameter, like the Sennheiser MKH416 or MKH60. The cradle stabilizes even heavy microphones and allows the use of windscreens without sagging. A heavy duty swivel with a star knob fastens your mic tightly in place. The Lyre cradle rests on a miniature bar with a 3/8" threaded base and includes a 5/8" adapter.

The INV-HG mkIII base features an integrated cable clamp for securing excess cable and minimizing noise. The unique Lyre suspension and cable clamp are engineered with Hytrel for a virtually indestructible design that maximizes shock and noise absorbtion.

Large Lyre Suspension for Boom Operation
The Patented Rycote Lyre suspension cradle measures 70mm high and 40mm wide to accommodate heavier microphones. This is ideal for static stand mounting as well as boom placement.
19 to 34mm Mounting Cradle
The cradle included with this system accommodates microphone diameters measuring between 19 to 34mm. The interior is treated with a soft-grip surface for a perfect, non-slip fitting.
Hytrel Construction
The unique Lyre suspension is engineered with Hytrel for a virtually indestructible design that maximizes shock and noise absorbtion.
Integrated 3/8" Threaded Base with 5/8" Stand Adapter
A 3/8" threaded base and a 5/8" threaded stand adapter is featured at the base for microphone boom pole and stand mounting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best shock mounts EVER!!! Over the last 20 years of live audio recording, I've owned just about every shock mount made. After switching to the Rycote Inv6hg's from elastic shocks I was blown away. I recently sold my Inv6hg's and bought a couple of the INVHG mkiii's and I couldn't be any happier. I don't see myself buying shocks ever again. I can hear a purity from my Schoeps mics and recordings now that I previously hadn't heard before using elastic and rubber shocks. I HIGHLY recommend these to anyone wanting the absolute best shock protection and isolation of your mics! For the quality of these the price is VERY reasonable IMO.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and Excellent I use the product on a boom and on the camera. I chose the Rycote because I know I would destroy or lose the rubber rings that other systems have. I also like that it doesn't flop the front of the mic with the Rode Deluxe windshield on. The Rycote is durable and will survive my travels.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this again Looking for something like this long time ago, for my mk-012 oktava mic. Since the handling noise is a problem with this mic. But this shockmount solved this problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from works really well i use this on a K-Tek boom pole holding a Sennheiser MKH60. Works perfectly. I hear no hand-sound from the boom op and i feel the mic is secure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very light, very tight and a lot to like I use this with both a Sanken CS-3e shotgun and Sennheiser MKH-40. It is absolutely fantastic in my opinion and will always opt for this over my Rode Blimp. Nothing at all wrong with the Rode Blimp, but this is just so much lighter and helps reduce the strain during long takes. Plus it reduces handling noise significantly, the primary reason for buying one. My only problem is finding the perfect case or safe way to transport it. At the price these go for, you'd be crazy not to have one or two. Get on it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what we needed We have been looking at others discussing their INV mkIII's and were convinced to buy a pair. So far have used them three times in the field. These are the best shock protection wise I've owned/used maybe aside from the AKG 414 baskets. the mic holder 'tube' is very flexible clip in and out (as when you are moving fast, makes it easier to clip in/out the mics). They are more compact than you might think from the pictures; I am storing them as they ship with the base at 90' to the mount.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best shock I've EVER used! I already bought 2 Rycote INV6HG's about 1.5 years ago, and loved them. However, when I bought 1 INVHG-mkiii recently and got to use it, I fell in love with this shock instantly! Much sturdier/beefier than my INV6HG's even are, and now I am selling my INV6HG's and buying a 2nd INVHG-mkiii ASAP lol. So if you want the best shock made, Period, just buy this first, and thank me later ;)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Low Profile Shockmount I really love this shockmount. Its very small, lightweight and quiet. I use it with my Rode NTG-3 shotgun mic and even with its heavy fur windscreen it holds the mic in place and prevents handling noise quite well. I've already used it a couple of times on a fast-paced production and it held up great. I would definitely recommend this product.
