The adapter fit as advertised and allow me to utilize my older Canon lenses which I spent some good money on and am very comfortable using. Delivery was earlier than expected and just in time of a project that popped up at the last minute.

Good option for adapting EF lens on an EF-M camera

I chose the canon specific adapter which certainly cost more than other options but when spending money on good lenses and a good camera why cheap out on the adapter. This comes with the built in mount which I'm pretty sure was designed to force you to mount further toward the lens instead of the camera body. Definitely helps remind that the bigger lenses are the heavier part of the support equation which avoids mistakes in not properly supporting your lens.

No, it doesn't change the minimum focus distance or affect the amount of light striking the sensor.

Sigma lenses work as well as Canon EF lenses. I am currently using the Sigma 17-70mm f2.8-4 lens as my walk around lens on my m50 without any problems.
