The Luxbanx Extra Large Rectangular Softbox from Impact is an economical 54 x 72" light shaping tool for strobes that's ideal for fashion or full body portraiture, illustrating larger products or even hanging from the ceiling for car or motorcycle photography. When you need a soft quality of light combined with wide coverage, this is the softbox for you. The softbox features a soft white interior, removable front diffuser and removable inner baffle. The diffuser and baffle can be used together for maximum softening of the output. Removing the inner baffle will give you a more crisp light quality with higher contrast, while shedding the front and inner diffusers turns the Luxbanx into a large reflector with maximum brightness and contrast.

Is there a quick release bowens speedring for these soft boxes to make them easier to put together and take apart in mobile studio?

Chimera makes quick release speedrings that can be used with this softbox. The exact type would vary depending on the light your using.

Is this just as hard to set up as the 24x78 strip box? Any recommendations on large or extra large soft boxes that are easy to set up?
Asked by: Susan
I have two of these and they are very difficult and awkward to set up. It's so big that the 4 rods can't hold the surface entirely flat. Also, the interior material is not as reflective as some other boxes. I prefer using a set of 60" folding softboxes that have an umbrella style mechanism and silver interiors.

No, the Impact Luxbanx Extra Large Rectangular Softbox (54 x 72") is not made to work with a tungsten modeling lamp that is 500 watts. The Impact Luxbanx Duo Extra Large Rectangular Softbox (54 x 72") is made for that, https://bhpho.to/3SEnJYs.

It states maximum wattage is 250.....does that mean I can't use my 500W moonlight?
Asked by: Michael
Yes, you can use a 500-watt Monolight strobe with the Impact Luxbanx Extra Large Rectangular Softbox (54 x 72"). The 250 watt is referring to a quartz light that gets hot. If you use a quartz light it cannot be any more than 250 watts. Note this does not come with a speedring. You will need to purchase one that works with your flash. This is a link for ones that will work with that softbox, https://bhpho.to/36GsXKk
