The Luxbanx Extra Small Rectangular Softbox from Impact is an economical 12 x 16" light shaping tool for strobes that's ideal for portraits, fashion and products. It's small enough for tabletop shooting or for use as a hairlight and great for adding fill light, especially with an optional grid. The softbox features a soft white interior, removable front diffuser and removable inner baffle. The diffuser and baffle can be used together for maximum softening of the output. Removing the inner baffle will give you a more crisp light quality with higher contrast, while shedding the front and inner diffusers turns the Luxbanx into a large reflector with maximum brightness and contrast.

I have an Impact mounting ring which came with the Impact One Monolight Kit. Do I need a different mounting ring for this soft box ?
The speedring included in the Impact One-Monolight Kit (120 VAC) was a dedicated speedring specifically designed for use with the softbox in that kit. For a speedring to connect the Impact Luxbanx Extra Small Rectangular Softbox (12 x 16") listed above to the Impact EX100A Monolight included in the One-Monolight Kit, you may purchase the Impact Speed Ring for Elinchrom EL and Impact EX, B&H # IMSRELI • MFR # SR-ELI, for your usage needs. https://bhpho.to/3y6jFGc

What inexpensive fluorescent light can be used with it? And what adapter would be needed?
A fixture you may use that can accept a fluorescent bulb is the Photoflex StarLite QL Tungsten Fixture (120-240 VAC) B&H # PHSLFVBSL320. It would need the Photoflex Mogul to E-27 Lamp Adapter B&H # PHFVSKT and then the ALZO CFL Photo Light Bulb (85W, 120V) B&H # AL151255. To attach the softbox, you will also need the Photoflex Speed Ring Octo Connector for Starlite B&H # PHSRSOC.

question
Will this work with a Speedotron 202 lamp head?
It depends on the ring size of your strobe. If you have a beauty dish or other light modifier- check the size of the ring. B&H should know what ring sizes the softboxes come in. They may have adapters that would work also. Hope this helps!

question
It says that it is not to be used with a ''hot light'', but I use Bowens Gemini flashes and their model lights are 250w Halostar E27 and I also have 500W E11 model lights. Is it dangerous to use this softbox with those flashes?
A 250 watt modeling light is fine. It is not designed for higher and should not be used with a 500 watt modeling lamp.Note, with any softbox one should keep an eye on it for safety when using a quartz modeling lamp.Quartz modeling lamps higher than 250 watts the Duo version of the softbox should be used.
