It ruined my pictures!

I am printing on a Canon Pro 100, a dye ink printer. I used this product (matte and gloss) to try to seal prints on Fredrix matte, Inkpress matte and gloss canvas and Epson canvas. The Hahnemhle varnish , I believe, is water based and not compatible with my dye ink printer. When rolled on, the ink is picked up by the roller and smears it all over the image. My images were allowed to dry for well over 24 hours. I can not recommend this product for dye based inkjet printers. For my situation I can only rate it 1 star. I hope this review saves someone both time and money.

Make sure you want matte finish

This is an easy product to use. Per package directions, I used a print that had dried for 24 hours. I applied an initial coat with a closed cell foam roller, waited two minutes, and then rolled over with zero pressure. I let this dry for 12 hours before applying another coat. Cleanup was easy (water-soluble) and the product showed no separation in the bottle or bubbling on the print surface. Unfortunately, the matte finish did not suit my needs for adding depth and luster to photographs printed on Hahnemuhle museum etching paper. The test print lost contrast and looked muddy when this varnish was applied. Adding additional coats did not help. I'm trying the glossy finish next.
