- Transform Amplifier Output to Line Level
- Bridges 4 and 8 Ω Speakers
- Converts Levels from 0.5 W to 400 W
- Bridge Input into Existing Amplifier
The RDL TX-8A 4 Ohm/8 Ohm Input Interface is a mono audio transformer that can convert the output of a 4 or 8 Ohm amplifier into a line level input to be sent to an audio mixer or second amplifier. The transformer's frequency response extends low enough to make it suitable for feeding a subwoofer amplifier input. For situations when interfacing between a stereo output to a subwoofer input, two TX-8A modules may be used, one from each side of the stereo output signal, with their inputs combined as the subwoofer input.

Could this bring up the level of an old Rhodes 76 to line so I could plug it straight into a set of studio monitors? DI box?
The RDL TX-8A 4 and 8 Ohm Input Interface is not suitable for connecting the Fender Rhodes 76 piano to studio monitors. The Rhodes has a 1/4" output with instrument level signal, like a guitar, and it does not have an amplifier built in. You can either use an active DI box or a preamp, and the output from either device will provide a line level output signal that can be connected to active (powered) studio monitors.
