I believe the contacts for this connector are actually gold... This line of XLR connectors is the best on the planet!

The other side of the Neutrik NC5MXX-B 5-Pole Male Cable Connector is made to solder onto a cable. There is no connector on the other side. This is illustrated in the PDF labeled 'xlr-xx-series' on the following page from Neutrik. https://bhpho.to/43ltChP
