question

Can I replace the D-ring with the BlackRapid FastenR-T1 D-Ring?
Asked by: HJALMAR
The BlackRapid FastenR-T1 is only listed as being compatible for use with the Manfrotto 200PL-14 QR Plate. Unfortunately, I am not sure if this would be compatible with the Oben QR-20 Quick Release Plate included with the Oben BE-117T Ball Head. However, as the Oben ball head uses the Arca-type quick release plate, the BlackRapid Tripod Plate 70 Quick-Release Plate (70mm), B&H # BLTP70, would be an Arca-type plate that includes the D-ring connector compatible for use with BlackRapid straps.

question

What is the difference between the BE-117T and the BE-117 ball heads. Also the BC-126 is listed as having a tension control, how is this different than what the BE-117s have? Is there a 17-lb oben head with an arca mount and adjustable tension?
Asked by: Anonymous
The 117T base is smaller than the 117. The base diameter on the 117T is 1.6 inches and the 117 is 1.8 inches. That is about the only difference between the two.Oben does not make a ball head that supports 17 lbs and has a tension knob. The 126 model has tension control, BC-126 Ball Head from Oben. Strong enough to hold a Canon 5D Mark IV with a 24-105mm vertical?
Asked by: Di Mac
The Oben BE-117T Ball Head, B&H # OBBE117T, has a 17.6 lb (7.98 kg) load capacity. The Oben BE-117T would be able to support the combined weight of the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV DSLR camera and the Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Lens, both horizontally and vertically.

question

This ball head comes with an Oben QR-20 quick release plate. This may seem an odd question, but does it also accept the Oben QR-30 quick release plate? I already have a QR-30 attached to my camera that came with another Oben ball head that I purchased (the Oben BC-139), and do not plan on detaching the QR-30 from my camera anytime soon. Thanks!
Asked by: Tim
As the Oben QR-30 Quick Release Plate you own is a replacement camera plate that fits the Arca Swiss-style quick-release compatible heads, it would also be compatible for use with the Oben BE-117T Ball Head.
