The Tempo 6 Gb/s SATA PCI Express 2.5" Solid State Drive Card from Sonnet is a PCIe card that can control two SSDs and supports the OS X or Windows RAID feature. The card features a 6 Gb/s SATA controller chipset and PCIe 2.0 x2 interface to deliver read speeds up to 660 MB/s from a pair of SSDs configured as a RAID 0 set. AHCI compliance means that installing the card is simple; just attach your SSDs with the provided screws, mount the card in an available PCIe slot, and turn on your computer - the necessary drivers are installed automatically. Drive health monitoring is supported through S.M.A.R.T. data reporting.

I've seen that running two drives in RAID 0 ...
I've seen that running two drives in RAID 0 results in fast speeds, but can anyone post actual results? Anyone with this configuration, can you run Black Magic Speed Test and post your findings? I'm wondering if you can get over the 500Mb/s limit of SATA and closer to 900Mb/s.
Since the speed limitations of SATA III is at 6gb/s - so though the drives are set in RAID 0 and using a PCIe bus it is not possible to go faster than theoretical speed limit of SATA III.

Will this work with a HP z800 sata II machine?
As mentioned, this product only works with a select few Asus motherboards. Note that to use Thunderbolt the motherboard itself must meet a certain spec; this is not quite just an add-in card - it communicates with the motherboard through a separate connector in addition to the slot.

What kinds of speed results can one expect to see from this card if one sets up two SSD's in RAID O?
I had a massive improvement when using as a system disk on a 4,1/5,1 MacPro. Startup used to be about 4 mins, now 30 secs.

HI, In my macpro5,1 - can I attach another sata device to the second connector without attaching the drive to the card? Can it be a drive in one of the bays?
