Impact Articulated Arm Reviews
Excellent, solid arm with a flaw.
I'll get right to the point. I like the arm, it's strong enough to hold my DSLR and work like a copy stand as well as a desk mounted camera support. But, the lug at the bottom end of the arm (which seems to be permanently affixed) is not identical to the standard brass lugs used in the industry, nor is it even identical to those manufactured/sold by the same company. The brass lug in the photo came with the Impact Superclamp I bought with this arm. It still works, and it's stable enough...But it'd be more stable and more secure if they changed this design, IMO. I took off the one star because of this. It'd be a 5/5 arm otherwise.
Strong steady support
We use these arms to support video cameras over woodturning demo lathe. The arms are strong, steady, and easy to adjust. It would be nice if they included a rotating adjustment perpendicular to the existing adjustment, but a ball head can be used to solve that issue.
