If you purchase the Impact Wall Plate with 5/8" Locking Receiver, B&H # IMSRP123P • MFR #SRP-123P, and install it onto your table, then you should be able to install the Impact 3 Section Articulated Arm without Bracket on your table. https://bhpho.to/36YUojP

Yes, the camera bracket 5/8 pin can sit on top. It moves 180 degrees. You can see the pivot on the arm in this photo, https://bit.ly/2WScxtK .

I’m considering this device to mount some PTZOptics cameras to a lighting truss. However it looks as though the knobs on the camera bracket extend above the surface of the camera bracket in such a way that they would impact the bottom of the camera and prevent mounting. Is this an illusion or would it be a problem?
Asked by: Peter
The knob does extend past the level of the plate. Depending on the size of the camera base you might have an issue. The other thing to consider is these are only rated to 3.3lbs.

How would this compare to the equivalent manfrotto one as far as stability and durability?
Asked by: Evan
Impact can take more payload and weighs less than the same Manfrotto version, however it could be said that the Manfrotto is built better or works smoother, your mileage may vary with that however. Stability/payload wise it seems Impact is the way to go.

Is it an option to have both end pins a 1/4" female thread?
Asked by: Jens
No, the Impact 3 Section Articulated Arm without Bracket only comes with a 1/4 female thread on one side and 3/8 inch thread on the other. There are adapters but it depends on what you are attaching to it. this is one adapter of many, https://bhpho.to/3PBdz9N.
