Impact LS-RL7 Reviews

stable, foldable, but kind of heavy

I bought this stand to pair with beauty lights and I was drawn to the fact that it collapses to fit in a carry-on. The positive: Foldable, size is great, extends very tall and is very stable. Downside: it's heavier than expected and would not be great for those traveling without a roller bag. I would recommend for those using heavy lights and need strong stable stand. If you're a traveling artist or someone that has to carry their equipment by hand, this might be too heavy.

Not the sturdiest but worth is for the travel size

Fits in a carry-on luggage, this was just what I needed for a travel stand for a boom pole. Not the sturdiest but makes up for it with being tiny.

question

Would this stand have trouble on grass, since the legs lie parallel to the ground? I wonder if it should stick to a stand with traditional tripod legs because they may grip the ground better on uneven terrain.
Asked by: John K.
Agreed, the legs fold farther down than the picture shows. They achieve 'tripod' position quite easily. They work well for travel but aren't my first choice when it comes to being stable. I recommend using sandbags when working with these stands.

question

Does this work well with Godox S Bracket?
Asked by: Kerri
I don't see why not. It has a standard mounting stud.

question

Same quality than the Manfrotto 5001B Nano one? thank you
Asked by: Hoan
I have not compared them side by side but I can say that the light stand in question is very good quality.
