The Solo Heavy Duty Background Support System from Manfrotto has a maximum width of 13' but can be expanded to 19.5' using an optional Lastolite Solo Background Support Extension. A unique facet of this system is the pivoting crossbar that makes mounting and raising a roll of seamless paper or other background a one-person operation. The system also includes two sturdy air-cushioned background stands and a carry case.

Manfrotto Solo HD Background Support Reviews
Worse than I imagined it could be
The backdrop stand is incredibly flimsy. The vertical poles flex and bend under any weight. And I can't even use it as it's missing a part to connect them together, please save your money and buy anything else. On top of all that, the part that's supposed to hold the bacldrop core from turning broke immediately. I'm very disappointed in this junk.
Adequate but not a great buy.
I had a group shoot scheduled and needed a larger than normal backdrop. With the optional extensions, this unit will extend to just over 20' in length. This system has marginally larger tripods than other background systems, and the cross pieces are of a slightly larger diameter as well. It includes a standard carry case to wrap it all up nicely. Overall build quality is adequate, but feels cheaper than my $140 Phototek set. End the end, I returned my set and simply made my own cross bar for $40 at Menards. If you need a backdrop stand, this will work, but the very high price tag doesn't get you much in return. In addition, B&H is now selling additional extensions for the Phototek system. Save your money and get another backdrop instead.
