Patching the Audio Output from a PC to an External Amplifier

This splitter cable allows me to send the audio signal from my computer to an external amplifier powering some bookshelf speakers. Typically, the audio output from a PC feeds a stereo 3.5mm (1/8") female jack, while the inputs to many amplifiers have dual RCA jacks for the Left and Right channels. Honestly, I could have soldered together my own patch cable, but those tiny little shielded wires can be downright impossible to work with! For the price, this was a better option for me.

Decent 3.5mm to RCA cable

This is a decent RCA/3.5mm cable. It is relatively short, which is good for noise issues, as it is not shielded in any way. The RCA plugs are in line with modern RCA jacks, but may not fit in some vintage devices that have narrowly spaced jacks. The 3.5mm side will have fit issues with some phone cases.
