Nikon A30 overview

  • 1Description

The basic black 10x25 Aculon A30 Binoculars from Nikon are designed for mid-range observations, with an anti-reflection multi-coated lens system and roof prism optical path that are designed to work together and transmit clear images with enhanced contrast and accurate color representation. Nikon built the A30s with their ecologically friendly Eco-Glass, which is manufactured without lead or arsenic to be better for the environment. This version of the Aculon is ideal for sporting events, general nature observation, and sightseeing around town or around the world.

Optical Performance
  • Powerful 10x magnification allows for detailed observations of distant objects
  • 25mm objectives gather more light than smaller-objective models, while ensuring the optical tubes are thin to maintain a slim form factor

  • Anti-reflection multicoated optics maximize light transmission while improving color rendition, contrast, and clarity
  • Ecologically friendly Eco-glass is responsibly sourced and made without using lead or arsenic
  • 262-foot field of view at 1000 yards

  • Closed-bridge configuration offers a stable platform for the internal focusing mechanism
  • Textured and slip-resistant center focusing wheel
  • Right-eye dioptric correction dial helps to compensate for individual optical prescription

Nikon A30 reviews

10x25 Aculon A30 Binoculars (Black) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Little Binos Are Sleepers These small binoculars offer outstanding optical performance. I've been observing water fowl thru the A30s from a window 1/4 mile away from their habitat for several days and each time I do so I ask myself how can binos so small and inexpensive be so doggoned sharp? After several hours comparing the 10x25s to my Nikon Monarch 12x42s my perception is that the two are about equally sharp, the major differences between them other than size, weight, and magnification being the greater brightness of the Monarchs, plus a larger apparent field of view, for a more immersive visual experience. The A30s are not waterproof, and the one other con might possibly be some difficulty in holding the smaller and lighter glasses to your eyes with no image jiggle, but for a 10X pocket binocular it would be difficult to surpass the Aculon A30s for opti performance, portability and price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Clarity My main binoculars are the Nikon Monarchs, 8X42. I love their weight, brightness and clarity. I wanted a pair of mini binoculars that I could hike with and keep handy but didn't want to pay a premium. I picked up a pair of these Nikon 10x25 Aculons before heading off to Florida. My wife used the Monarchs and I used the Aculons. It took a little time to spot birds with the narrower scope of vision but once I found the bird I couldn't believe how clear the colors and the bird were. They out-performed a cheaper pair of 10x42s that I also own. Honestly, once I located the bird, and some were pretty far away, the clarity was the same as the Monarchs. I had no problem holding the image steady even though they were mini's.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would purchase again No complaints so far. Very easy to handle and adjustments very smooth. They will work well for birding. We use Nikon cameras so this is why I chose these Binoculars to replace the ones I borrowed from sister and dropped in the lake (whoops!)
