question

What is the max. effective throw distance?
Asked by: John A. D.
So the specs show it as a 14-20 beam angle. That suggests that for usual followspot use, you wouldn't want to be more than 50-60 feet away, as the size of the pool of light will be about 10' wide at its smallest at that point, though the iris would get it smaller, but you're going to lose brightness by using the iris much. 30' would be ideal, and about 15' would be your minimum.
