What is the diopter adjustment range? The listed specs just states "yes" and the DX ED model says -3 to +3.

They do not state a numeric value for the diopter. It is adjustable but just + or - with no numbers.

It depends on depth and duration. It would probably survive a very brief and shallow dunking. But unless they rate it for immersion, you have to assume water would enter.

Why does it say "close-to-midrange observations"? Does it mean that it is not recommended for infinity focus (e.g. stars)?

The Nature DX 8x42 binocular's near focus is 6.5 ft (2 m) which is ideal for bird watching. While it can focus at infinity and be used for stargazing, larger aperture binoculars with higher magnification would be better suited.

How does the Celestron Lifetime Warranty compare to the Carson or Vortex No Questions... type warranty?

The Celestron Warranty is a Limited Lifetime. So it only covers against defects. The No Questions asked warranty from Carson and Vortex cover against accidental damage, as well as Manufacturer Defects.
