question

Can this arm be used with the Impact light stands that come with the Moonlight kit?
Asked by: Anthony A.
While this arm can fit on a 5/8 stud as found on Impact light stands in their monolight kits, it would not be recommended due to the weight of the arm itself. A more ideal stand to accommodate this boom would be the Impact Steel Roller with Low Base and Braking Wheels (9.5'), B&H # IMLSPSW10.

How much weight can this hold?

How much weight can this hold?
Asked by: Robert
I usually put a 12 pound light/mod on it fully boomed (with a counter weight of course). As long as you have a proper counter weight you should be fine. but i havent put anything heavier than that on it. with 12 pounds, no bend, no tilt, no movement, locks in tight. its great.

Can this be mounted 90 deg vertically to extend the height of a C-stand etc? If so, will it be stable at full extension?
Asked by: Ari
Yes but you should put sand bags (that you can get at B&H or Home Depot) on the base of the C stand for added stability, which you should be doing anyway.
