I've had several of the large oval ones before, but needed the extra large size for my two latest cameras (Panasonic PX270 and DVX200). They seem pretty durable and do a good job of absorbing sweat when the eyepiece might fog over otherwise. Used without my glasses, they help in getting a light-tight seal around the eyecup in bright conditions. I always buy these in red, which makes my cameras stand out in the field a little bit! It's a kind of fun trademark for my equipment. The only problem is that these don't always hold as tight as I'd like on the deeply curved Panasonic eyecups, and occasionally fall off, usually when I'm loading or unloading the camera from its case. It's not frequent enough to be a big issue. The design has changed, and now uses a new back piece of elastic fabric that is open at the two \"points\" of the oval. This fits MUCH better on the deeply curved eyecups of my Panasonic UX180 and DVX200, and has completely solved the problem of the cushion falling off occasionally while handling the camera.
