question

Hi- Does this allow the upper part to swivel 360 degrees freely independently of the lower part? Thanks.
Asked by: William P.
No, the clips will not rotate. You need to find the desired position for your mic and if you wish to change the mic position, adjust it using the clamping knobs on the mic stand, just as if you did not have quick release clips on the mic.I have outfitted my whole studio with these clips, all the mics except the ones that permanently live somewhere (the drum mics, for example). I like them. I tried all the clips on the market and these are the ones I preferred. I have not experienced any breakage of the ridged plastic retainer rings as William P reported from his experience, but I use my equipment very gently--mine is a one-user studio, only for my own private use. Under heavy professional use with frequent mic changes, handled by many users, I can see this might be an issue. But I prefer the feel and function and even the solidity of these clips over the others I purchased to audition. As with everything, your mileage may vary.
