Would this work well for viewing 35mm slides with light box?
If you have a light box you don't need one with the light but with that said this one is hands down the best. I use it for Photography and everything looking up phone Numbers, checking to see that my pictures don't have dust specks from the sensor and more I would buy this one again it works great. if you don't need the light at that time then turn it off. I like this so much that I won't let my wife use it.
