    Watson ADC reviews

Compact AC/DC Battery Charger is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compact and multi-functional I like the idea of supporting multiple charge plates to reduce the number of manufacturer-unique chargers I carry around. The USB charge port is an excellent idea - it will allow me to charge a battery in the camera and one in the charger. So far, no issues - the batteries fit snugly, something that seems to be an issue with many non-Sony chargers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works exactly as advertised and expected I have a two-battery Watson charger and it works great. The only downside is that it is physically large and takes up a big footprint in my bag. The single bay charger is much more compact and still uses the interchangeable plates to allow charging of most batteries (each battery requires its own plate, but all plates work with the charger). I tried a cheaper version from another manufacturer, but it did not work correctly. The Watson was the V2.0 charger and it works as advertised and expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smart design and effective This charger does the job well at a very reasonable price. The fact that it is adaptable to many different camera batteries via inexpensive interchangeable plates is fantastic. I would not hesitate to buy it again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Flawed design for plate retention I bought this with two battery plates and had a terrible time swapping them due to the small plastic catch located opposite the four electrical contacts where battery plates attach. One plate refused to come off unless a screwdriver or stiff card was slid between the plate and base to disengage the catch. The catch is too prominent and doesn?t have enough spring (on my unit at least) to flex out of the divot on the back the plate. Not surprisingly, the catch broke after a few difficult plate swaps. There?s still enough friction to hold plates in place, and the charger works, but this could have been designed better. Batteries seem to fit into the plates well or adequately depending on the plate. Ultimately, it?s an inexpensive charger built inexpensively so I can?t be too harsh, but it?s a little frustrating.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It gets the job done... ...but it doesn't have a charging complete indicator. I'd worry that if I forgot to remove the battery, it would be fried. Also, optional adapter plates are very tight (good thing) but there's no finger hold to get them off, I have to use a small screwdriver. Bottom line, it lets me leave two OEM chargers at home and carry one charger with two adapter plates.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works perfectly!! I purchased this with base plates for the Canon LP-6N battery and the Sony battery for my RX100. Works great for both. Love that it has the car charger which my original Canon LP-6N charger does not have. It is also 1/3 the price of the Canon charger and works just as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweght, versatile. REQUIRES SEPARATE PLATE. I use this for Sony NP-series batteries. This charger uses inexpensive, interchangeable plates to accommodate a variety of batteries, but they must be purchased separately! This produce cannot be used without the appropriate plates for your battery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for different batteries I have Sony and Canon camcorders with this charger I can charge the Sony and Canon batteries by means of an adapter for each brand. Mean while I can use the camcorder with an extra battery without waiting for charging the battery.
