I use normal “big” meters for professional work, but they are too extra to have with me when I just walk the streets with my daily camera so I plotted an idea where I could attach the smallest light meter I could find to a camera strap and this is my meter of choice! It’s extremely lightweight, it never turns off by design (perfect), it’s visually not as disturbing as most light meters are and it has more than enough of functionality! Every time I feel the light around me change I just check it with the gossen on my shoulder, this way my camera is always ready. Only thing I needed to adjust to is the EL system, I usually measure in f-stops. After a month of use I ended up marking my range of photo shutter stops with rainbow markers, this made it easier to pick my stop.
It's a very small and useful companion, a must when using a film camera. Speed He is an indispensable tool when using a light, but it is a little inaccurate compared to a normal size meter, probably because the white photosphere is small.
