The Metz Mecablitz 15 MS-1 Macro Ringlight Digital Flash Kit includes the MS-1 Ringlight, a bounce diffuser, 52, 55, 58, 62, 67, and 72 mm adapter rings, an IR filter bracket, belt pouch and a sync cable. This advanced macro ringlight flash provides full wireless TTL control with virtually any SLR camera system. The MS-1 supports Canon, Nikon, Olympus/Panasonic, Pentax/Samsung and Sony Alpha.
Each of the two separate flash tubes inside the ring light is individually controllable. Each of their reflectors can be swiveled with a range of 0-20°. The Ratio Control feature allows for separate light distribution settings for the left and right sides of the flash, while the variable power setting allows for 6 levels of output. In addition, the included diffuser provides further softening of the light output.
The dedicated wireless TTL control function and the fact that it runs on 2 AAA batteries does away with the need for cumbersome flash cables. As long as the camera has a built-in flash, or a dedicated shoe mount flash set to master mode, the MS-1 will fully integrate with virtually all SLR camera systems. In slave mode, the MS-1 is suitable for all camera models with manual flash functionality via a standard PC sync cord. The 15 MS-1 learning function ensures that the slave flash is reliably triggered every time by the flash integrated in the camera is fired.
