Hand-assembled in the USA, the 12' Canare 4S11 11GA Star Quad Speaker Cable - 2 Banana to 2 Banana is designed for connecting audio equipment with banana-style inputs and outputs, such as an amplifier to a high-fidelity speaker or home theater components. The Star Quad design utilizes four, 11 AWG conductors made of low-capacitance, stranded annealed copper and proprietary polyethylene (PE) dielectric insulation, to provide a consistent frequency response over long runs and significantly reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI) noise.

are there two sets per box to connect two speakers or do you have to order "2"?
This is single cable with banana connectors on both ends. The cable is constructed with two sections -- the red side is for connecting the hot signal and the black side is for connecting to ground. This cable will connect to one speaker. You will need a second cable to connect your second speaker. This item (B&H # CA4S112B2B12) is one Canare 4S11 cable.

That is not their intended use. They are not made for installation work. They are made to use outside the wall in your home. Canare makes an excellent product and I think part of the design is made to be seen. How you use them is up to you.

The Audio Engine A5+ ship with 12 feet of 16AWG cable to connect the speakers together, however the binding posts will accept a banana plug terminated cable as well.
