When developing film, Black & white or Color, the temperature is very important. This has always been a great accessory in the darkroom...
Poorly Constructed - MAY LEAD TO INCORRECT READINGS

Whatever method that was used to attach the stem to the dial on this thermometer is a poor one. With the clip attached to the stem, it has such a strong grasp on the thermometer that if you accidentally knock the dial one way or the other, it physically rotates the dial with the needle in place, making it instantly useless unless you can recalibrate it with another, actually working thermometer. Garbage.

How do you properly calibrate the thermometer?
How do you properly calibrate the thermometer?
The Samigon Stainless Steel Dial Thermometer (1-3/4") has a nut at the top of the stem where the dial attaches. The nut can be turned to adjust the position of the needle when using an ice/water bath to measure 32F or 0C degrees.

question
Can someone tell me how you attach the clamp? the long part that goes in the liquid doesn't fit into the holes on the clamp. Thanks
You pinch together and slide it through, then release and it locks itself into place that way. Don't drill other holes, you'll destroy it.
