Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cheap filter - use only for front element protection This filter is great if your only purpose is to protect the front element. It may filter some UV, but it does introduce a considerable flare component. I have bought and will continue to buy these lenses with any new lens purchase just to protect the front element at budget price. But if you're looking for true UV filtration, then I would go with another higher-quality alternative if your budget can afford. Qualtiy: 3 Value: 5 #sweepstakes

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth it for expensive lenses This is not a good filter. When you keep it next to a good filter like B+W you will notice that the light pass through is not good. It reflects a lot of light. I will not buy this lens for an expensive lens

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Can't go wrong at this price. As a simple filter to protect a lens, this is great. There is no apparent loss of IQ while using it. On mine, the threads to stack another filter on the front are not the best so I have to remove the UV before putting on an ND or grad, but that's good practice anyways so it's not a big deal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Filter I needed an affordable quality filter to protect my 28-135. Its cheap insurance for breaking front element. Fits snugly on the lens and cuts glare like it's supposed to. No one put there has a better price than B and H on a similar type filter. Outstanding quality.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfectly Functional You can pay a lot more, but this one gets the basic front element protection job done just fine. I might remove it for special shots or I might just leave it in place.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid filter Since I'm somewhat of a novice to photo gear I'm not sure what the advantage is of the expensive filters. This is a cheap one that seems to work just fine.
