    Tascam TH-02 reviews

TH-02 Studio Headphones (Black) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 62.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from How Can You Go Wrong! Seriously for the money, these headphones Rock! I have many sets of headphones and ear buds. These are not the best of the bunch and by no means the worst. These are definitely the least I've ever paid for headphones and I have nothing at all to complain about! They sound great are comfortable and perfect for what I purchased them for. I feel I got more than I paid for. I love them, I love the way they sound, how they feel and how they block the background noise out. They're bigger than I typically would purchase but I'm not complaining. They're not expensive headphones but they sound close enough for the times I need them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Kept Secret! Best headphones hands down for the money. If you are using these on your iPhone make sure to adjust your equalizer settings. Really crisp and punchy. No fatigue wearing these for long listening sessions. These are my new favorites well worth the price. I am an Audio Engineering Society member for over 20 years. My Headphone collection can easily rival some retail stores. Tascam is probably recognized more for their professional analogue and digital tape machines. I was skeptical at first since the build quality is meh... but they sound really great. You won't be Disappointed. Picking up a second pair for storage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WHY BUY $200 HEADPHONES ANYMORE? I've been using these headphones since i got them in the mail recently everyday and they are the most comfortable pair i own. They sound just as good and in some cases better than my $200 headphones. I do a lot of studio work so i know about my headphones and I will stick with these for a long time. Why did i even bother buying the $200 pair when this pair existed the whole time. The super low price is what had me running away thinking you get what you pay for but Nope, After all the awesome reviews and taking a chance on them,,, I'm Sold. Their awesome & totally inexpensive. Bought mine at B&H for a few dollars!!!!! WHAT??? You heard me right! A few dollars... $

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value I was looking for a comfortable set of monitoring headphones for field recording, and these fit the bill perfectly with their foldable design and inexpensive price. They fit comfortably on my average-size head and, while not noise-canceling, they keep outside noise more or less out. The sound is nice and clean with a noticeable flat frequency response so you hear the signal exactly as recorded. The single-cord design is nice. The only drawback is that the cord isn't coiled, but that's not a deal-breaker for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Sound Monitoring I needed a pair of headphones to monitor remote sound recording. I was able to pay extra to get top notch equipment but I found these Tascam headphone and the reviews were excellent and very affordable to get. I took a chance in order the headphone based on past experience with Tascam equipment and it paid off, the headphone are great, just what I was looking for, at some point the plastic material for the equipment feels cheap but it gets the job done. Don't expect deep bass or high treble, is just the sound fair and square that you need to ear to get the recording levels straight. The headphones cover your whole ear, so practically you will hear only what you need.Very pleased with the equipment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! I work professionally with video and audio and I needed an inexpensive pair of studio headphones for editing video at home. For the price, I was very surprised by the excellent build and sound quality. They are also comfortable to wear. I have Sennheiser, Roland, and Sony headphones at work that cost a heck of a lot more than these and are not nearly as nice. I bought a second pair.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from TASCAM TH-02 Use for listening to music on my laptop. Functions well for the great low price. However, lacks range, depth and richness, particularly at the low and high ends. Strongly recommend the very high quality at still very low cost of the TASCAM TH-MX2 or the TASCAM TH-2000 as much better selections for just a couple of bucks more.

The headband could easily be 1 shorter, in order to fit the majority of heads. The sound is good and the build quality is good...all fairly sturdy plastic. Headband padding is sufficient to prevent discomfort. No problems noted with the cord or the snap on 1/4 adapter. The ear pads are adequate. Clamping force is perfect for me.The outer cover over the speakers (labeled 'Tascam TH-02') is held on with three snap tabs. I released the bottom snap tab by inserting a metal nail file, creating a semi-open, rather than closed back headphone. This seemed to open up the soundstage and make the bass better defined. I glued a Sennheiser HD580/HD600 headband cushion (mfg# 549375) to the center one-third of the Tascam using silicon adhesive (can be removed, if so desired later). I only used the adhesive on the central one-half of the cushion so that it wouldn't strain it when opening up the headphone to put it on my head. Rolling up a piece of 'minky' material or attaching a thick strip of memory foam (or a combination of the two) would be another way to sufficiently pad the headband so the it actually rests on your non-watermelon head, rather than wobble around up in the air, above your head.If you have large ears this will not be a truly circumaural (over the ear) headphone, as portions of the pads will rest on your ears.http://www.learningaboutelectronics.com/Articles/What-are-circumaural-headphonesConclusion:This can be a very good, inexpensive headphone with a couple of tweaks and should be on the list for anyone on a budget looking for good bang-for-the-buck.
