Matthews Apple Box Full Reviews

Inconsistent Quality

I've ordered 4 full-size Matthews apple boxes and they've varied in quality. Some of the handle cutouts are nicely rounded, others have sharper edges that are uncomfortable to hold. A couple came already chipped. A couple rock noticeably on flat surfaces. Hasn't lived up to it's reputation to me so far.

Box has cracks along the joints, putty on edges.

A basic wooden box but this specimen seems to have been a Friday build, the joints along the long edge have gaps and there’s quite a bit of putty in the corners, the inner of the box rattles around also.

What will be the basic set to go for? A full, a 1/2 and a Mini full?
Asked by: Chris
A full set is considered one of each size, 1-Full, 1-Half, 1-Quarter, 1-Eighth. People really purchase apple boxes for there particular needs, there really is not a standard. If you are using them on a set or while shooting at a location its always good to have four of each top raise up furniture, one for each corner/leg. If you are a stills photographer 2-Fulls and 2-Half Apples are great to raise up your subject. Really depends on your needs.
