I filmed with this product with the Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera on a professional film shoot on an exterior location. Partly cloudy. Light Rain. Fall. in Montreal. During our camera test we tested several Ziess Distagon lenses ( 18mm, 21mm,28mm, 25mm, 35mm) as well as the NIkon AF f/2.8 14mm, 28mm, 50mm lens. On all of these lenses we were unable to focus past 14 feet. During the shoot our DOP was forced to shoot at f/16 - f/22 in order to achieve maximum focus on with the lens. At the end of the shoot we needed to push the ASA to 1600 in order to properly expose the image. I had high hopes for this adaptor when I purchased it. After testing it on a professional shoot Ive come to the realization that this adaptor is worthless. I am returning it. I am not sure if we can re-shoot the scenes that were lost because of this adaptors inability to function as indicated by the manufacture. *Post Script* After the shoot I tested the same Camera with a Vello Canon EF/S adaptor on a Ziess CP.2 18mm Compact Prime. This adaptor had no problems focusing to infinity, ruling out the BMPCC as the source of the focusing issue.

question

what is the difference between B&H # FOPMFTANG43 $159.95 and Nikon G pro lens blue ring adapter less than $60 for Micro four third camera. will both can be deliver the same for gh4
Asked by: Anonymous
The difference would be that the Excell+1 (more expensive adapter) has light focusing optics that adjust the crop factor by 0.72x, changing the original crop factor from 2x to only 1.4x. The optics also have the benefit of increasing the maximum aperture by 1 stop, taking an f/1.4 lens down to f/1.0 for example. Both would be compatible with the GH4.
