The Pro Auto Macro Extension Tube Kit from Fotodiox is a set including 13mm, 21mm, and 31mm automatic tubes. The electronic contacts on these tubes allows for automatic functions to work, including autofocus and aperture control. The extension tubes can be used independently or added together for extreme macro photography. As no other optical components are added with this kit, the image retains the original optical properties of the lens.

Any combination of tubes can be used for various reproduction ratios

Pro Auto Macro Extension Tube Kit for Canon EF & EF-S Lenses is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from An inexpensive jump into macrophotograpy Really, these extension tubes are quite perfect. For the price, you don't expect the best quality of course, but quality is still decent. You just need to handle the rings carefully, and certainly the first times you attach them to your camera or lenses. Optically, there is no flaw (it's only full of air) and all electrical connections are preserved (AF, IS, etc.) Depending on your lens (focal length, aperture and minimum focus distance) and distance to subject, you can achieve impressive magnification ratio. Search the web for explanations on how to compute the exact ratio for your lens. A couple of samples here (EOS 60D + Tamron 70-300 VC USD + all 3 tubes)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fotodiox Mash Your Pins Kit I would rate this item as 0 if I had the choice! Only one of the three completed the electrical circuits for the lens to work. Two of the three were so tight I would not try them a second time and caused visible micro-scratches on the 5D Mark II's body pins. There is play even when locked in position causing the electronic signals to cut in and out. This product may very well permanently damage your camera body and lenses. I'm surprised that B&H carries this product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great alternative for a more expensive macro lens These extension tubes are a great alternative for the real macro lens, which will cost much more. One of the disadvantages is that you won't be able to focus at further distances and infinity. But it's not because of an actual Fotodiox tube. It's because of the physics of ALL extension macro tubes. Since the lens is moved further away from the sensor/film, you'll get a much closer focusing distance along with a limited focusing capability. If you're looking for an affordable way of doing close=up macro photos without compromising the picture quality, those extension tubes are the best way to go without spending hundreds of dollars on real macro lenses. Since there's no glass inside those tubes, the quality of the picture will be determined by the lens you use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for, sometimes less The kit contains 3 extension tubes. One of them would not mount to my camera; the interface would bind before turning fully into position. The other two would physically mount but did not provide body to lens communication. (No aperture control with one, and the camera would not attempt autofocus with the other.) You get what you pay for, and sometimes less. I gave it 1 star because the system does not allow zero stars. This is a poor poor quality product, which is a shame because Canon's extension tubs are grossly overpriced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleased with product I can not find anything to complain about with these extension tubes. They do the job they are intended to do perfectly, with no wiggle created between the lens/body. Of course, there is no glass to worry about so optical clarity isn't an issue. Aperture controls still work fine, although I can't speak for focus. I'm not really sure why you would want auto focus when doing macro work with an extension tube anyway :).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Tube Its a nice solid product made out of Metal and everything fits together nicely and feels real durable. I use a T3i and noticed when using EFS lens the autofocus and aperture control works but when using EF lenses I lose that capability; I tried reattach it a few times but same problem. for the money its ok and If I get it working with both sets I will post a update.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like em a lot. I wanted to get in to Macro an not break the bank. For me these were a great choice. They are very well built and fit the camera and lens very well. Nothing feels loose. I have used these in every combination and they always feel snug at both ends. The AF and IS work just like they always do. Did not notice any differance in any combination.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty ok extension tubes They work! They feel a little on the cheap side, but seem to do the job well since it's just an extension tube. Auto focus & Aperture works with all my Canon lens 85mm 1.2, 24-105mm 4, 70-200mm 2.8, & 40mm 2.8. The contacts seem kinda cheap and seem to need a little lube or something. I'm a little scared that it might mess up my lens mount contacts on my 5D mkIII, but time will tell.
