Wooden Camera 169600 Overview

The Wooden Camera MFT to PL Adapter is an MFT (Micro Four-Thirds) lens mount adapter that enables mounting of all PL mount lenses onto the Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera.

The adapter features a foot for attaching to a tripod, thus directly eliminating the strain on the camera. The foot can also be attached directly to a Pocket Cage (sold separately) using the 2 included screws. 

The adapter also comes with a PL Cap to prevent dust from entering the sensor area when the lens is not attached.

This MFT to PL mount adapter works perfectly. I don't quite understand how adding 7 small, ultra thin plastic rings deems it worth paying an extra $100 for the pro version, which is why I didn't buy that one. Those shims should just be included at the already high price point of this adapter (seriously, the shims couldn't cost more than a quarter to make!), hence why it loses a star. But it is build solid and should last for years to come.

The screws in the tripod collar of the Wooden Camera PL Lens Mount Adapter for Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera are M4X20 socket cap screws.

Does this mount have back focus adjustability? It is not sharp at infinity.

All of our mounts are engineered and tested to exact specification for PL Mount sensor distance. However, if you wish to be able to adjust the mount in the future you should instead choose the MFT to PL Mount Pro (Pocket, BMMCC, BMMSC). Wooden Camera part number 179600. This kit comes with a shim set and the mount can be adjusted should the cameras backfocus change over time.

The adapter itself will also work with any MFT camera like the BMCC MFT, GH3, AF100, etc. This particular kit includes a support foot that is designed for the Pocket camera.

Andre,Our PL Mount Adapter does not include any internal electronics so you will not have built in aperture control. Most PL Lenses do not require or use aperture controls and will only transfer meta data information.The product you linked is an EF adapter, not PL.

Will this work on a BMCC?

We have one of these adapters for our BMPCC and it works well on most of our Super 16 PL mount prime lenses. Unfortunately our Zeiss zoom's mount is a tad too large. Even though we were lucky, and if I would do this again I would have ordered the version with extra shims to be on the safe side. At the time of purchase the shims were not available.
