Ubiquiti Dream Router 7 Reviews

Proffesional Grade Good Price

This router is a great professional grade setup with highly adaptable and customizable options. I was sick of using cheap home routers and not being able to set up multiple vlans and multiple networks including one designated 2.4ghz for IoT. This router allows me to do all of that. Right now I'm not using any Access points but plan to add some down the road.

what switch would work with this for a security camera system from the same brand?
Asked by: Joseph
The Ubiquiti Dream Router 7 can be powered by POE AF 15w. You could work with the following switch that has 16 POE+ ports as one example. Of course, depending on the installation and the cameras, you may need a larger switch option. Ubiquiti UniFi 24-Port Gigabit PoE+ Compliant Managed Switch with SFP BH #UBUSW24POE - 16 x PoE+ Compliant Ports OR Ubiquiti UniFi Lite 16-Port Gigabit PoE+ Compliant Managed Switch BH #UBSLITE16POE 8 POE+ ports.

What Unifi product would be used to extend the wifi range of this router? Assuming I couldn't run ethernet cables to hardwire APs?
Asked by: Michael
If running Ethernet cables to hardwire access points to the Ubiquiti Dream Router 7 is not feasible, you can use a UniFi AP in wireless mesh mode, such as the Ubiquiti U7 Mesh BE5000 Dual-Band Indoor/Outdoor Wi-Fi 7 Access Point.
