But one of the most impressive new technologies is the dedicated NPU built onto the processor, which helps accelerate AI-based workloads. So, I put its capabilities to the test with Adobe Photoshop’s generative fill feature.
Starting with a simple background image, I used artificial intelligence to expand it from a 4:3 aspect ratio to 16:9. Then I generated and added elements as they occurred to me. It took more time to figure out the right word prompts to generate the images than it did to assemble my project, but it turned out amazingly well in the end. Out of curiosity, I compared the AI generative speed to my desktop computer, which has a dedicated graphics card, and the Prestige consistently returned images a second or so faster. That might not sound like much, but it does add up, and gave me more time to figure out the right keywords to refine images instead of waiting for them to generate.

Even if you don’t have much interest in generative AI, the Prestige 16 AI Evo laptop still has a great deal to offer. For instance, the 4K HDR OLED display by itself makes the system worth checking out.
With its 16:10 aspect ratio, the 3860 x 2400-resolution screen offers more viewing space than traditional UHD screens. Additionally, the OLED panel enables deep shadows that deliver rich visuals when watching streamed movies. Beyond entertainment, 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut and integrated Intel® Arc™ Graphics allow you to create professional-grade videos and photos with high dynamic range.
High-Speed Connectivity
Stay in touch with clients, colleagues, and friends with the Full HD webcam, which does an excellent job of compensating for different lighting conditions. The camera is complemented by a downward-firing stereo speaker system and a dual mic array. With Wi-Fi 7 support and built-in Gigabit Ethernet port, you can easily connect to compatible high-speed networks.
The rear-facing panel features two Thunderbolt™ 4 ports, each allowing you to transfer up to 40 Gb/s with compatible devices, which comes out to 300GB of data in about a minute. The Ideal Travel Companion
Designed with a magnesium-aluminum alloy chassis, the Prestige 16 AI Evo weighs about 3.3 pounds and is just 0.75 inches thick. Carrying it feels almost impossibly light, considering that it’s a 16-inch laptop. I also got plenty of life out of the 99 Wh battery, despite having the screen at full brightness and the keyboard’s backlighting turned on for hours. You can switch quickly between different performance settings, including an AI mode that dynamically changes settings depending on use, using the built-in hot keys. A large, fine-mesh grille on the bottom works with the raised feet to provide efficient airflow to critical components for optimal performance.
In addition to having a fingerprint reader built into the power button, the Windows-Hello-compatible infrared webcam quickly logged me in with just a look.
