Sirui unveiled their new Vision Prime T1.4 full-frame cine lens series alongside a 20mm T1.8 anamorphic lens. The Vision Prime series kicks off with a 24mm, 35mm, and 50mm T1.4 lenses. The Vision Primes are Sony E-mount out of the box but include a set of user-changeable RF-, Z-, and L-mounts. Sirui’s other announcement, the 20mm T1.8 1.33x autofocus anamorphic lens, is the widest focal length we’ve seen with anamorphic AF lenses, a burgeoning category that so far can still only cover Super35-sized sensors. The 20mm will pair well with Sirui’s original 40mm AF anamorphic lens, and is similarly available in Fujifilm X, Sony E, Nikon Z, and MFT mounts, with either neutral or blue flaring.
Let’s dive deeper into the full-frame Vision Primes first. The lenses are notable for fast apertures, short minimum focusing distances, and their compact size, but the interchangeable mount system is especially exciting. Some cine lenses have had swappable mounts before, but it was typically limited to mounts with longer flange distances and often required tedious shimming. If the Vision Primes can truly be swapped with ease between E, RF, Z, and L-mounts, they’ll combine the versatility of a PL-mount with the small form factor of modern mirrorless mounts, no bulky adapters needed.
Sirui also promises the lenses have well-controlled breathing, minimal distortion, and a consistent look throughout the set. The 24mm and 35mm have twelve aperture blades, while the 50mm has eighteen. The lenses come in Classic Black or Vintage Metal Gray colorways, and are available on their own or in a set with all three, complete with a waterproof carrying case. They have 67mm filter threads, 270° focus throws, and are manual focus only. Hopefully longer focal lengths are in the works, but these first three should make a great starter set.

Now onto the 20mm T1.8 1.33x autofocus anamorphic! Yes, if you haven’t heard, autofocus and anamorphic have finally met, with last year’s Sirui 40mm AF anamorphic lens leading the charge. Due to the complexity of subject detection and tracking on a compressed image, these anamorphic AF lenses have so far been limited to Super35-sized sensor coverage and a 1.33x squeeze factor, creating a 2.35:1 aspect ratio when shooting in 16:9. Still, you’re able to get plenty of unique anamorphic character and bokeh out of these lenses, especially when using them wide open.
Both the 20mm and 40mm are quite compact, with the 20mm measuring 3.8” long and weighing 1.1 lb. The STM-style stepping motor should get you fairly fast, precise autofocus, and Sirui promises the lens will even work with eye tracking on a number of camera bodies. An AFL button on the side of the lens can lock in your focus, and the aperture ring can be set to clicked or de-clicked. Sirui’s 40mm AF anamorphic lens has already made waves among content creators, so it’s nice to see them quickly expanding the line.
