iConnectivity: mio10 and mio2 Advanced MIDI Interfaces

0Share

Are you looking for a MIDI interface capable of connecting up to ten devices to your Mac, PC, and iOS devices simultaneously? Then look no further than the iConnectivity mio10 and mio2 advanced MIDI interfaces that set a new benchmark in MIDI connectivity.

The class-compliant mio10 requires no drivers and allows you to harness the power of one or two computers at the same time, creating a sophisticated network where MIDI data can be routed to and from multiple devices connected to the ten in/out pairs of 5-pin DIN MIDI ports, as well as any iOS devices for music apps and virtual instruments. By connecting a compatible, powered hub to the MIDI host port, up to ten USB MIDI devices can be connected simultaneously. Additionally, the interface features network MIDI capabilities over Ethernet, which extends the possibilities of using up to four computers with an optional network switch or wireless router. The included iConfig software allows you to set up port routing, MIDI filters, channel remapping and controller remapping. A total of 56 configurable 16-channel MIDI ports can be set up and recalled at a moment’s notice. Should you desire to take your show on the road, the unit functions in stand-alone fashion and can easily withstand the rigors of on-the-road wear and tear.

The mio2 advanced MIDI interface fully supports two Macs or PCs at the same time and offers the same routing as its larger brethren (excluding the Ethernet and MIDI host ports). Flexible routing can be achieved between the two computers and the two in/out pairs of 5-pin DIN MIDI ports. Between all of the internal and external connections, the mio2 offers a total of 10 configurable 16-channel MIDI ports. MIDI can also be routed to multiple destinations. For example, if you want to layer sounds on different instruments, each destination can have its own MIDI processing. The included iConfig software allows you to create and save a preset to the non-volatile flash memory on the device, so the next time you power up, all your settings are ready to go. The class-compliant mio2 requires no drivers and can be USB bus powered, with no adapters necessary.
